I am 55 years old and last year, after being on blood pressure medication, high cholesterol and pre diabetic because of weight issues I decided to make a life style change. I started in on July 1, 2009 by taking a nutrition class following the healthy eating recommendations and exercising everyday.. By Ocober I lost 45 pounds and was feeling better. I needed to lose about 100 pounds. During that time, my hair started to thin, in particular on the top and while the weight loss made me feel much better, the hair loss made me feel terrible. I felt out of control and depressed. The doctor had me increase vitamins but basically said that it could be from the weight loss or just part of getting older. I have a great career and felt very self consciencous to a point that it started to affect my job. I did research and found Sheila of Goddess Extensions. I talked to other places but did not like the recommendations they had like using glue, removing all my hair etc. Sheila was not only understanding of the emotional impact but had a solution that I could deal with. I wear a hair piece that is secured without glue but Sheila's method of attaching the hair piece does not damage my own hair so if it grows back no problem. My hair looks fabulas, Sheila even cut it for me and integrated with my own hair. My family, friends, co workers think my hair looks good. My family and some friends know it is a piece but the rest don't know because my hair looks so natural. The instructions that Sheila gave me I follow and so I have worn the hair piece integration since November, 8 months. Still looks good!! I can tell you that my self esteem is back, and the motivation too, I have continued to live the healthy life style losing all together 100 pounds and went from a size 22 to a size 6. The whole package has made me look 10 years younger today, so much so that I was advised my a police officer to get a new drivers license as my photograph on the license did not look like me. The hair piece integration along with my weight loss has given me the motivation to keep it up. I feel that my experience with Goddess Extensions has been so great. I plan on staying with her for as long as I can. I no longer take any medicaiton today too.

I have known Sheila Matechuk for about 3 years. I met her after a 20-year struggle with progressive androgenetic alopecia. First came the styling attempts to cover my hair loss, then the scalp makeup, then Rogaine, then attempts at clip-in hair pieces, a full medical evaluation with no treatments that helped, and finally reaching out for a hair replacement consult.
